Today, Saturday (20 September), at the central Women’s Division Majlis of Jamaat-e-Islami held at Al-Falah Auditorium in Moghbazar, Dhaka, Chief Guest Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, “By the grace of Allah, Islami Chhatra Shibir has won the DU and JU elections. Although this may surprise many, it will influence the upcoming national elections, InshaAllah.”
He added, “We hope to contest in 300 constituencies in the next elections with the support of those who stand by us. For this, all kinds of cooperation, including financial sacrifices, are needed.”
The Jamaat Ameer further stated, “Through the sacrifices of the movements on 5 August 2024 and during July–August 2024, we have gained a new Bangladesh. Many gave their lives, while some lost limbs or eyes. By Allah’s will, we have achieved victory through these sacrifices. We pray that Allah rewards these efforts fully in this world and the hereafter.”
Recalling past oppression and persecution, he said, “Over the past 15 years, many leaders were killed, injured, or forced into exile. Some are still unwell. We pray for their recovery. May Allah accept our sacrifices and grant us honor.”
Dr. Shafiqur Rahman added, “Our duty is to perform our responsibilities; the results belong to Allah. We must remain humble in serving the people and seek help from Allah.”
The session was chaired by Central Women’s Division Secretary Nurunnisa Siddiqua. On the topic of political situation and the 2026 national elections, the Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Parwar delivered a speech. Darssul Quran was presented by Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim.
